Best location on the island

Posted 26-Dec-2017 on Expedia
Pros: Perfect location with friendly staff!
Cons: Nothing
Location: Swim/snorkel everyday, beach chairs to take to the water, Changing of the guards at the Garrison, Barbados museum, fish shacks at Pebble Beach
What a fantastic location with friendly and helpful staff! We were literally 80 steps from the water. We could snorkel each day and saw sea turtles, fish and more. There is a bus stop a short walk from the apartment that allowed us to get to Bridgetown for the fish market and to Oistens for the famous fish fry. Walkable to the Garrison sites, Cuz's fish shack, and Bridgetown itself. The beach view room has a great balcony so we could see the sunset each evening. Only the bedroom of the apartment has air conditioning but with the breeze and the fan, we were fine on the balcony, so did not need A/C. The apartment was clean and comfortable, not luxury, but perfect for what we wanted. Reception is staffed during the day and there is a night watchman. The kitchen is fully equipped so we cooked fresh fish each day. Carlise Bay is truly the best swimming and snorkeling beach on the island. Great value at the perfect location.

Noisy

Posted 17-Dec-2017 on Expedia
Pros: It had cooking facilities, however, there were no grocery stores nearby. We did like that it was right on the beach. The yacht club is next door.
Cons: It was fine for the money but the bar next door makes Friday night a bad night to be there.
Location: We liked that it was by the Yacht club as it was a nice place to get a rum punch. Also we walked to the Radisson for breakfast. Nothing else nearby.
We were kept awake most of the night by a karaoke bar across the street. Not a nice way to begin our trip. Also we couldn't figure out the air conditioning which I guess was our fault as we didn't see the remote.

Basic, safe, friendly and clean. Nice staff

Posted 08-Dec-2017 on Expedia
I rented an apartment type room and it was very clean and white, the bedroom was easy to get good rest in with black out curtains, the fan, and the air conditioner going. This place is right off the beach, and if you go out there to face the water and look slightly right to where no boats are parked, there are six ship wrecks you can actually snorkel to a little ways offshore. If you look off a little to the left, that is where they take groups to see turtles. I found this after booking a half day tour via the Hilton and was like, hey, we are right in front of my hotel/apartment! You can also catch the “city circle bus” on the INLAND side of Bay Street which will take you to the Princess Alice bus station in Bridgetown where you can change buses to get a bus heading up to some nice beaches more north on the west side of the island like Payne’s beach. I did this with my child and we loved it. Some buses rock out with dancehall and it was fun.

Definitely I should not for business, they have to work in the rooms. Air conditioned only in the room, poor internet. Great location right on the beach and close to town.

Nice but...

Posted 13-Aug-2017 on Hotels
It was no so comfortable only the bedroom has AC, no TV. The living room had a fan with TV. The place was clean, just didn't like the fact of the flies so easily to enter. Also the receptionist was not always available. No one was always at the front desk Incase needed. I did Love the view to the beach
